Top 10 Halfbacks of 2015
To be fair the top three half backs in the list could have picked themselves at the start of the year. Probably the only surprise is the Tiger in equal third on the list.
Johnathan Thurston is, quit simple, an NRLCEO God. After scoring 133 points last year as well as kicking 82 goals he took a lot of CEOs to Premierships. This year his total score will not quite reach those heights, but he is still the best value half in the game considering he can play both five-eighth and halfback. His 87 points have mainly come from two tries and a whopping 24 try assists as well as 24 line break assists.
It’s a shame that Shaun Johnson’s season was cut short for a number of reasons. Not only did he end the Warriors chances of doing anything in the finals (or even making it) but he also dashed the finals chances of many CEOs as his season ending injury came after most trade lockouts. As a primarily running half, his 80 points have come from eight tries, 12 try assists, 13 line breaks and ten line break assists.
We have two players in equal third on the point scoring list in Daly Cherry-Evans and Luke Brooks. The ten million dollar man from Manly would have been expected to perform and after a fairly quiet year he has turned in an honourable performance in scoring 78 points so far from four tries, 18 try assists, 10 line breaks and 13 line break assists.
Tigers cub Luke Brooks on the other hand is still on the rise. CEOs were content with his 60 point return in his full season last year, but he has out performed that this year by a distance. He already has 78 points this year from eight tries, 16 try assists and 10 line break assists. A great return for a half who will move up the drafting pecking order next year.

Gee hasn’t Pearce been shithouse this year?
Loses for NSW, loses for my Champions League team…I’d hate to have backed the Roosters for the comp
Wouldn’t write them off just yet!
