Round 23 Dream Team

Looking at the best performances each week to determine the Team of the Week and using the player’s season totals to determine the overall Dream Team for 2016 on a week by week basis.

Round 23 Team of the Week:

NRLCEO Team of the Week Round 23 2016

The first try scoring hero is back! Well… not quite. He didn’t score first this week, but he did score plenty! Corey Oates (17) scored his second ever career hat-trick and equal highest NRLCEO score. His haul also managed to knock him into the NRLCEO centurions club and he now sits at 102 points from 17 games at an average of six per game.

Back in second place for the week was Josh Mansour (14). I had read a stat that he had scored a try against the Knights in his four last outings against the Knights and their defence is even more brittle than ever before so I threw the (c) on him in my Legends of League game and it paid off in the 12th minute. His try in the 80th minute was the icing on the cake. He now has 13 tries for the year and 111 NRLCEO points including a run of five games from Round 11 onwards where he scored in every game.

After ten games with single digit NRLCEO scored, Anthony Milford (13) came through for those who stayed true to him. He now has 139 points for the year and has run 2,222 metres for the year at an average of 106 per game. Easily the highest running metres for any half this year.

Continuing the trend of NRLCEO centurions this week, Solomone Kata (13) also cracked 100 this week too. His 13 points was his fifth double digit NRLCEO score for the year but his highest overall and takes his season total to 102. 14 tries, 2 try assists, 11 line breaks and 15 metre eaters rack up the points quickly.

Kudos also to Joey Leilua (12) and Boyd Cordner (12) who also scored doubles for great NRLCEO returns.

Overall Dream Team:

NRLCEO Dream Team Round 23 2016

Each week we will accumulate the points for each player to come up with the Overall Dream Team for 2016.

See that thumbs up on James Graham above? He knows he’s got it in the bag. Yet ANOTHER ten point haul thanks to a double workhorse and metre eater and he doesn’t look like slowing up. Does anyone know him? We want to get him on the podcast if you do!

There was only one new entry this week. The Englishman Josh Hodgson (120) has taken the hooking lead! But for how long? With a one week suspension, Cam Smith (119) should be back next week, but let’s look at Hodgson. As you can see from his stats below, he’s scored zero twice this year. He’s not just scoring workhorses, he’s now laid on a massive 17 try assists as well as 11 workhorses for the year.
