Round 21 Dream Teams

Dream Teams

Round 21 Dream Team:

It looks a massive effort to make the Dream Team this week with all but four players cracking double digits.

The most impressive performance from and NRLCEO perspective was James Tedesco with 16 points. He scored two tries, two line breaks, two try assists and two line breaks to take his season total to within striking distance of the magical century.

A rejuvanated Benji Marshall reminded us of his talent with a dummy (which scored him nothing) and 14 NRLCEO points. It was his first time in double digits since the corresponding round last season. He scored a try, but more importantly lay on three others for his team mates.

Nathan Peats did what Nathan Peats does best on Monday night. His try, workhorse, try assist, line break and line break assist effort is pretty standard reading for the third ranked hooker.

Jack Wighton showed us why he gets paid with a first half blitz which netted him 12 NRLCEO points. Unfortunately for Jack and his Raiders team mates, they couldn’t go on with it against the Cowboys.

The full team is listed below:

1. James Tedesco (16)

2. Marika Koroibete (10)

3. Jack Wighton (12)

4. Jamie Lyon (10)

5. Tom Trbojevic/Corey Thompson (10)

6. Gareth Widdop (11)

7. Benji Marshall (14)

8. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (5)

9. Nathan Peats (12)

10. Jesse Bromwich (9)

11. Bryce Cartwright (10)

12. Paul Gallen (9)

13. John Sutton (9)

Overall Dream Team:

The “100” curse continues as both Bodene Thompson and Curtis Rona sat on the sidelines with injuries and therefore did not add to their totals.

James Tedesco is now just one line break away from cracking the magical century and with a game against the defensive frailties of the Raiders will easily do that next Monday night.

Surprise packet Jack Reed drops out of the tied position with Dylan Walker, who after two tries makes the position his own.

Semi Radradra is in the nervous nineties! I said last week he’d crack 100 against the Titans this week. He failed.

Johnathan Thurston takes back his half back position from Shaun Johnson and looks likely to retain it all year with DCE the next best back on 72.

Here is the full overall NRLCEO Dream Team:

1. James Tedesco (99)

2. Curtis Rona (100)

3. James Roberts (86)

4. Dylan Walker (74)

5. Semi Radradra  – (98)

6. Blake Austin (84)

7. Johnathan Thurston (84)

8. Josh Papalii (88)

9. Andrew McCullough (110)

10. Andrew Fifita (94)

11. Bodene Thompson (100)

12. Simon Mannering (95)

13. Shaun Fensom (94)
