Round 21 Dream Team

Rd 21 DT

Two teams cracked a half century this week in a forgettable Sunday for Raiders and Knights fans.

Despite the Panthers only scoring 22 points in total in their defeat of the Dogs, James Segeyaro was a shining light scoring 17 points and the first ever NRLCEO “double-double” as highlighted by Geoff Adams in this week’s Workhorse Watch. He scored two tries and just nudged the double workhorse requirements in a memorable performance.

Over at the Bunnies demolition of the Knights Kirisome Auva’a and Alex Johnston were the beneficiaries of the Novacastrians poor defence. Both scored a hat trick of tries and takes Johnston’s career tally to 14 tries in just 10 games!

Manu Vatuvei was good without being brilliant and in his usual way scored another hat trick against the Raiders who missed 37 tackles in total.

It’s also worthwhile mentioning Bureta Faraimo who scored a double on debut for the Eels.

A Founder of NRLCEO. Jamie spends far more time on running the site than his own team and is therefore a perennial struggler, much to the delight of his mates. He is a former Bears, now Raiders tragic. A rangy lock who avoided running the ball at all costs, he once tackled (flopped on) John Hopoate. Web geek by day, web geek by night.
