Round 14 Dream Teams
Looking at the best performances each week to determine the Team of the Week and using the player’s season totals to determine the overall Dream Team for 2016 on a week by week basis.
Round 14 Team of the Week:
A dominant four try performance from David Fusitua saw a massive 22 point return for the Warrior. It capped off a massive two weeks for him where he scored six tries in just two games! It looks like that wing spot is his to stay too. Those who played SuperDraft and picked him this week were in the money!
Not to be outdone, Cameron Munster produced his best ever NRLCEO score and gained a place in the centres in the overall Dream Team in the process. This was his fourth ever double digit return and consisted of a try, three try assists, four line breaks, three line break assists and 234 metres gave him a double metre eater too. More significantly, it’s also a higher score than Billy Slater has ever produced in one game.
I’m really kicking myself that I never picked up Suliasi Vunivlau from the Storm. I remember clearly personally adding him to the site prior to his debut game and debating with my Storm supporting mate whether he’d get a permanent wing spot. Obviously we predicted he wouldn’t as neither of us picked him up. 11 tries and just seven games later we have egg on our faces.
Lastly, it wasn’t the next highest scores but we must congratulate Albert Vete and Kurt Baptise on their first ever career doubles. They’ve both battled hard on their respective benches for a few seasons now and it’s great to see them both do well. Vete has 12 starts from his 27 career games and Baptiste has two starts from 40 career games.
Note: points are based on tries (4), workhorses (4), double workhorses (8), try assists (2), line breaks (1), line break assists (1), metre eaters (2), double metre eaters (4), field goals (1), 40/20’s (1), sin bins (-2) and send offs (-4)
Overall Dream Team:
Each week we will accumulate the points for each player to come up with the Overall Dream Team for 2016.
The top dog is still James Graham just over halfway through the NRLCEO season. As you can see from his graph below, he is remarkably consistent with his last zero point performance coming in Round 13 last year.
Two new entries this week including the returning Solomone Kata. He has been in and out of the team this year but a busy three weeks see him take his place back in the centre.
We highlighted the talent of Cameron Munster above, but the talented fullback is now closing in on James Tedesco as the top scoring fullback in the game. Luckily for those that have him, his dual position status as a centre allow flexibility for where you pick him and hence his selection at centre in this team.
The race for the next century is on with James Tedesco, Jordan Rapana and Ryan James all within striking distance! For the record, I’m predicting Teddy.
Here is the full Dream Team after fourteen rounds:
1. James Tedesco (86)
2. Jordan Rapana (87)
3. Solomone Kata (68) – NEW
4. Cameron Munster (80) – NEW
5. Valentine Holmes (80)
6. Anthony Milford (109)
7. Ben Hunt (75)
8. James Graham (112)
9. Cameron Smith (83)
10. Jake Trbojevic (75)
11. Ryan James (89)
12. Elliott Whitehead (77)
13. Sam Burgess (76)
Note: points are based on tries (4), workhorses (4), double workhorses (8), try assists (2), line breaks (1), line break assists (1), metre eaters (2), double metre eaters (4), field goals (1), 40/20’s (1), sin bins (-2) and send offs (-4)

David Fusitua is a pretender, just like myself. I like to cheat at Fantasy Football also. Quick question Jaybee. Why isn’t Chris McQueen in the fantasy team of the century? Surely you watched the nines and saw his form? Have you even taken the people of Kingaroy into consideration? They need a hero and you have completely ignored him Jimmy Bradman. I demand an apology from your company to me, to Kingaroy and to Christoper McQueen.
Peace out.
