Ever wondered how your team would go if chucked into NRLCEO format?
I explained last week how I will be tracking the NRLCEO scores all year to determine what effect it might have on the table.
Sadly this week there were no great surprises, but let”s get stuck into Round 2.

Those carrying Bulldogs backs can rejoice as they’ve managed to up their scoring and found the line in fine form, all be it from three players securing doubles. Line breaks down but their effectiveness has increased which is promising considering they scored 7 of them last week and 6 this week. Normally the increase in tries will see a decrease in WH’s but don’t fear their usual culprits always manage in fine form. Save Aiden Tolman narrowly missing out. Josh Jackson one of the CEO All Stars of last year was able to get his first of the year and looks in form to continue.
The Eels have had a massive slide in overall points this week but the positive being three WH’s up from zero the week before. Nathan Peats returned to the WH fold but that can be attributed to Chris Sandow going down for a period, hopefully I’m wrong as I picked him up early in one of my comps and need him to produce last years form :P. Is 0/3 a worry for those hoping Reece Robinson was going to be a free kicker this year, surely not I hope as the week before he was pinpoint accurate.

Two competition points evaded the Sharks again but at least their CEO worth isn’t as worrying. Five WH’s is solid considering they only got two last week in a closer fought game. Paul Gallen is the first player to get the Double WH this year and in fine fashion running for 246ms. The backs are able to break the line but unless they can convert that to points I wouldn’t be starting them up against the Storm at home. Expect the WH’s to be high in that game though with the Storm yet to fire offensively either.

The Broncos have doubled their WH effort and thankfully that included Matt Gillett, Corey Parker and Josh McGuire. Those with Anthony Milford should be waiting for one solid week before trading, he just looks horrible. Up against the Cowboys this week expect another forward battle with the points to follow.

In a huge offensive display how James Segeyaro managed to increase his output is beyond me as he comfortably secured a WH for the first time this year. Elijah Taylor got the other and is the only backrower from the Panthers you should be looking at. Getting two WHs both weeks with a hard fought battle and a romp in the park doesn’t bode well for the forward pack in terms of points. Josh Mansour is back this week and in time should return to his best, against the Roosters though I doubt it.
The Titans are a huge red flag, Luke Douglas and Nate Myles the only players to get a WH this week and Douglas is doing it easy this year. With the return of the five suspended players will he be able to manage it again, surely not but the Knights game should be closer so he is worth holding onto. Ryan James could be set for another disappointing CEO year after looking so promising missing out again, only week 2 but with the return of two backrowers in Dave Taylor and Greg Bird expect his minutes to take a hit. Unable to secure a WH in two weeks playing every available minute (10 in the bin) and no tries is a worry, his duel position is a plus though but if its not getting you points it’s moot.

The closest CEO game of the round and like the actual game just a Cameron Smith goal in it.
Jamie Lyon with 100% kicking record at the moment, surely can’t last long but for the moment he isn’t the worst goal kicker around, but at centre though he has been pretty disappointing. With the absence of Littlejohn many would be hoping he could squeeze three games in at 5/8 as his move back to centre would see him as one of the premier 5/8s if his previous years scores are anything to go by. Who could of seen Feleti Mateo making the position his own leading the line breaks with two. The forwards for Manly are doing well but Luke Burgess only missing out by 1, something he never got close to at the Souths so he is worth a look if your light on front rowers provided Josh Starling isn’t fit soon.
Storm were a big CEO improver this week despite losing and winning the previous round. Forwards are looking good especially Tohu Harris, Dale Finucane narrowly missed out but is looking vastly better than his Bulldog days with increased minutes. However it was the backs who improved this week, Will Chambers with thjree linebreaks and a try could be an assist weapon in the coming weeks and not unable to score.

Ethan Lowe had a cracker of a game getting 2 WH’s and a try, don’t think it will be the last time this year either. Cowboys backs have a huge red X through them as they just plain suck. Those who picked up Johnathan Thurston early in your draft may be cheering though despite his poor form. Originally tipped to be rested at the backend of the year provided they reached their potential and secured a top 4 spot that looks unlikely now with 0/2 Broncos this week and origin just around a long ass corner. Surely they will come firing in the late rounds to secure a finals spot, may be too early to be looking that far ahead but had they had a blistering start to the year the worry would be there come finals. Michael Morgan moves to 5/8 with Lachlan Coote going to fullback. This should hurt Morgans overall total. Knights forwards again ripped in with 5 WH’s, adios Wayne you shall not be missed. I guess them winning 2/2 is also a positive.
The Knights have the Titans this week so could see a drastic shift in point scoring, start their backs and be wary of their forwards this week, personally I think it will be a lot closer than people are giving it credit and have sneakily put Titans to win in my multi. Kurt Gidley was a random WH from a fullback, he did shift to Hooker once Sione Matautia came on though. James McManus has scored 10 tried from his last 6 games vs the Titans but I honestly can see Joseph Leilua holding off on the passing unless necessary.

As hard as it was for me I benched a few Souths players expecting this to be a lot lower scoring game. Whoops, the Bunnies are proving they know how to score regardless of the opposition. All positives from the Souths backline which is making Joel Reddy look like the superstar of his dreams. Alex Johnston can score a try and looks to be popping up more than nederlandsegokken online casino Nathan Merritt did in his day, second year syndrome can get fucked. The forwards had some increase output this week and with John Sutton out for 6 weeks could see some increased game time for the Origin forward Chris McQueen… you would think :/ ??? That being said George Burgess was a machine this week and Dylan Walker is just a freak.
Roosters look solid as ever even with the loss, Michael Jennings is a special kind of player and although didn’t have the greatest year last looks in blistering form and is one to trade for if you can, also if you have him don’t give him up ever 😛 injury or not as last year it did not affect his run home making him a great finals player (CEO wise). Look for the forwards to get more involved this week playing a smaller side in the Panthers. Blake Ferguson is one to watch soon and should of scored three points this week but some spud outside him couldn’t catch a ball if his hands were covered in glue.

How about the Raiders forward pack? Five WH’s in a game is a rare sight for them. Iosia Soliola is a gun and rather Shaun Fensom like in his efforts, 200m with 56 involvements. Jarrad Kennedy got a WH this week but watch out he is moved to the centre this week with a shift in backline covering the injury of Jack Wighton. It’s time to cut Josh McCrone as Josh Hodgson is proving he can cut it in the NRL, just needs the full 80 to become a solid hooker for the year.
The Warriors looking strong again, who could of picked Ryan Hoffman who got a WH joining the team to spark Simon Mannering. Usual a try scorer he gets a double WH this week making it 3/2, not bad at all. Sam Tomkins had a great return to the team scoring 7 points without crossing the line, fullback of the year last year and for good reason… can set up a mean try. Nathan Friend doesn’t look to be getting any more minutes so time to drop unless injury hits Thomas Leuluai who gains the hooker tag this time around. Neither are big runners with their mammoth forward pack and backs so not worth a look unless your desperate.

Pat Richards is looking great again at the start of this year, he did the same the previous only to drop away though as the Tigers got found out. Still I’ve had to pick him up with Soward out for up to six weeks and even then will he return to kicking duty with Moylan looking solid with the boot, I bloody hope so because 5/8s with points in them are rare these days. Aaron Woods proves he’s not just a tackling teddy bear with 265ms, only just missing a double by six involvements. Expect him to get a WH this week but a double against Souths, I doubt it even with the amount of defence they are set to do running for over 115ms vs our pack is a big ask and unless he plans to take every hit up he should fall short.
The Dragons forwards are performing for once and Trent Merrin almost getting a double WH from the bench, its time to start him Mary!!! Mike Cooper also got one from the bench with Jack De Belin looking solid as a starter.
