Can we get Moeroa the same as Hindy?
Tepai Moeroa is born in the Cook Islands and at just 19 will make his first grade debut. He holds plenty of wraps from other websites “the next SBW” or “rugby’s next big thing”. Moeroa is primarily a left sided player with a solid all round game. He isn’t the next Sonny Bill Williams, don’t expect the offloads and ball handling. He is a technically perfect tackler. With the ball he has a devastating hip to bump of defenders, you can’t tackle him low and you could very well get pushed off of you go high. He has good strength and decent speed. Best of all for Parramatta fans his hairstyle is close to that of Nathan Hindmarsh’s, let’s hope his career is half as good! And if he gets half as many workhorses then everyone will be happy.
Else where in the NRL Alex Johnston continues his good run, he has scored 7 tries in 8 NRL appearances. I would expect the run to continue as Souths march towards the semis. I’d also be very surprised if he was still available in ANY leagues. The mark of a very good rookie.
Luke Keary is back from injury but coming on from the bench for the Rabbitohs. Keary scored plenty of tries on his final year of the Holden Cup, 20 in fact. Keary was destined for the #6 jersey before injury struck it could be a couple of weeks before he starts games but he is a player with potential in a side that should perform well in the back end of the year. Take a gamble and grab him early I say.
We’ve spoken about Fa’amanu Brown and Bryce Cartwright before and they are performing very well. If they are available I would grab them as soon as you can!
