Jarryd Hayne Update

Jarryd Hayne Update

Wow. What a day! I was out of town for work and so was in the air when the story broke. When I turned my phone back on, it was going bonkers!

I had dozens of messages, tweets and Facebook messages asking when we were going to add Jarryd Hayne to the site. So without further ado, here it is:

We will be adding Hayne to the site at 6pm (AEST) Thursday 4 August.

Even though he is named off the bench this week, he will be added as a fullback.

There have been a number of different methods that I have heard to figure out who gets him. Some are going for the straight out of a hat method, others are being a bit more creative.

The best method I have heard so far was the Lizard Cup. They randomly drafted a plane each that were scheduled to land at Heathrow at the same time. The CEO with the plane who lands first, gets Hayne. Remind you of anything?

There are a number of public competitions on the site that we administer and we have made the following decisions for these competitions:

Legends of League and Champions League

NRLCEO founder Mig and I have decided in consultation with a number of competitors in the Legends of League competitions that we will not be allowing anyone to draft Hayne in these competitions. We have come too far in the season and with finals positions on the line there could possibly be too great an effect on the competition. We hope that all participants will abide by these rules.

Supporters League

In these competitions it will be first in, best dressed.

Of course, after all of this fuss and commotion, he will probably score less than 10 NRLCEO points for the rest of the year. Time will tell…

The following two tabs change content below.

JB

A Founder of NRLCEO. Jamie spends far more time on running the site than his own team and is therefore a perennial struggler, much to the delight of his mates. He is a former Bears, now Raiders tragic. A rangy lock who avoided running the ball at all costs, he once tackled (flopped on) John Hopoate. Web geek by day, web geek by night.
