Round 19 Dream Teams

Round 19 Dream Team:

Seven players hit double points this week with a host of players scoring two tries or more (or being robbed of one on full time).

Cooper Cronk lead the overall scoring. His dominant two try performance was his first double since Round 2 in 2013. Unfortunately for my opponent this week he named him on his bench and so his 17 turned into 7!

Lachlan Maranta scored the first hat trick of his career to take his season total to 13 tries. A pretty impressive effort for a player many still don’t rate!

Alex Glenn, Marika Koroibete, Edrick Lee, Kevin Proctor, Antonio Winterstein and Frank Pritchard were the other double try scorers.

Michael Lichaa scored the only double workhorse for the week.

1. Michael Morgan – 8

2. Lachlan Maranta – 13

3. Edrick Lee – 9

4. Kane Linnett (Jimmy Case) – 8

5. Marika Koroibete – 11

6. Blake Green – 10

7. Cooper Cronk – 17

8. Andrew Fifita – 9

9. Michael Lichaa – 8

10. Paul Gallen/Adam Blair – 8

11. Alex Glenn – 11

12. Kevin Proctor – 10

13. Josh Jackson – 10

Overall Dream Team:

Last week we announced the race to 100 points! This week three people crossed the magic mark with seven rounds to go.

Technically Curtis Rona reached the mark first as he played on Friday night. His century has come from 17 games which he has scored 17 tries, 17 line breaks, 5 try assists and 5 line break assists. More importantly he has only had three weeks where he hasn’t scored a point.

The second to reach a century was Bodene Thompson who has been an absolute steal for CEOs this year. He wasn’t expected to get the minutes in a strong Warriors back row, but he has played almost every minute this season. His 100 has come in 17 games in which he has scored 6 tries, 16 workhorses, a try assist, 6 line breaks and 4 line break assists. More importantly he has only missed out on a workhorse one week when he scraped in 36 involvements.

The last one to reach the tonne, but more importantly our leading NRLCEO scorer was Andrew McCullough. The Broncos rake sits on 106 points from 17 games. His points have come from 4 tries, 18 workhorses (including 2 double workhorses), 4 try assists, 2 line breaks, 6 line break assists and 2 forty-twenty’s. More importantly he has the most tackles in the NRL (820) and has only missed a workhorse in one round.

In terms of new entries this week, Johnathan Thurston sneaks back in to the half back position in a tie with Shaun Johnson. Everyone else remains the same.

1. James Tedesco – 77

2. Curtis Rona – 100

3. James Roberts – 81

4. Jack Reed – 67

5. Semi Radradra  – 95

6. Blake Austin – 83

7. Johnathan Thurston/Shaun Johnson – 75

8. Josh Papalii – 87

9. Andrew McCullough – 106

10. Andrew Fifita – 90

11. Bodene Thompson – 100

12. Simon Mannering – 83

13. Shaun Fensom – 82
